ABOUT
Edi Rudo is a French-American magician, mime, shadowgrapher and puppeteer based in Paris, France. He began performing magic at the age of five and joined three Parisian magic clubs (Cercle Français de l'Illusion, FFAP, Amis de la Magie) at a very young age, where he stood out for his poetic style and creativity.
Edi likes to fool spectators with his tricks, but above all he loves to use magic as a tool to tell stories and express emotions.
In 2014, at 15, he became the youngest magician to win the French Close-Up Cup (CFI). The same year, he won the under-18 competition of the Edinburgh International Magic Festival.
At 16, he discovered the art of puppetry and mime. The mime Musidora became his mentor. He spent two years learning pantomime with her.
While juggling between high school and private performances, he trained in the art of puppetry in the Czech Republic and with the Philippe Genty company. He taught himself shadow puppetry, studying old books that he bought from vendors on the banks of the Seine in Paris.
