MAGICIAN - MIME - SHADOWGRAPHER
"One of the future names of French magic"
"An intriguing poetic character"
Edi Rudo is a French-American magician, mime, shadowgrapher and puppeteer. He began performing magic at the age of five and joined the Parisian magic clubs (Cercle Français de l'Illusion, FFAP, Amis de la magie) at a very young age, where he was noticed for his poetry and creativity.
Edi likes to "bluff" spectators with his tricks but above all he loves to use magic as a tool to tell stories and allow emotions.
His poetry and multidisciplinary skills allowed him in 2014, at 15 years old, to be the youngest magician to win the French Close-Up Cup (CFI). The same year he won the under 18 competition of the Edinburgh International Magic Festival.
At 16, he discovered the art of puppetry and mime. The mime Musidora noticed him and asked him to be her mentor. He became her student and learned pantomime with her for two years.
While juggling between high school and private performances, he trained in the art of puppetry in the Czech Republic and with the Philippe Genty company. He learns shadow puppetry by himself, collecting old books that he finds in bookshops on the banks of the Seine in Paris.
